Just to update an earlier post, I contacted Kosmos and they made the switch to wooden markers about a year ago, and stone markers are no longer available.

Just as well. I always wondered about the stones scratching the board.
Now, how much is my vintage stone edition worth?

While the stones are nifty, they seem to give off stone dust. I just rinsed mine to see if that gets rid of the dust. We will see.
