Is there a version of this game with an actual "hard" game board versus just a fold out paper playing board?

I am thinking that possibly the second TSR edition is so. Looks like the first edition is just the inside cover of the box. I couldn't seem to find a defintive answer to this question by looking on Tom Wham's website or other places on the web.

Thanks for the help anyone....

Jeff

I'm not sure of the edition of my TSR version, but it does have a regular solid board.

My board is mounted. The game box was the "conventional game box" shape (rectangular, about an inch thick) which houses the board with a single fold.

Ooh a little higher, now a bit to the left, a little more, a little more, just a bit more. Oooh yes, that's the spot!

The TSR 'long box' edition certainly came with a mounted board.

See this forum entry http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/92981 for some links to the various different editions, although they probably don't go into precise component details.

I remember a TSR version my brother had when I was a kid that had a real board.

I now own the Dragon Magazine edition, which is a paper map, and the previous owner had it laminated, which works fine.

No matter what, I think it's vital to get a version with the original Tom Wham illustrations... the later Steve Jackson Games illustrations are cheap tracings of the Wham cartoons, and are dull and lifeless in comparison.

Name me another game designer besides Tom Wham who is also the visual artist for his games?

Thanks for the info, very helpful.
Now for the hard part, is anyone willing to sell their copy of the AGTFOS - TSR 2nd edition?

- I realize that this appears to be a hard game to find!

You mean the one out of The Dragon magazine, or the first boxed edition?

Actually it doesn't matter, I have no idea what they would go for

I have this game with a board. I will check the edition. Would perhaps sell but we are in very different and expensive time zones from the postage point of view.
