Possibly a mix of Dominion/Independent faction for more multiplayer (4 player would no longer require team play), as well as Borg for solo or multi, I hope? Borg would work very well as an AI faction for solo play (as has already been demonstrated by variants on bgg) as well as another player faction; possibly as a 2 or 3 players teamed up vs. 1 faction (which, let's be honest, the Dominion could be that, too). Borg would need their own mission deck, though... studying a star or mapping an area doesn't really fit their style.
On the 1 year anniversary of the Romulan expansion, it's sad not to hear news of the next Fleet Captains expansion. But there is still hope. Wizkids (and Mike and Ethan), please don't forget about Fleet Captains. 10 years from now, history will still see it as the best Trek board game, regardless of how well Attack Wing sells in its first few years. Besides, it would be a shame if Fleet Captains never gets Sisko, Dax, Bashir, Chakotay, 7 of 9, B'lana Torres, or the Consitution Class "Enterprise" NCC-1701 ("No bloody A, B, C or D").
Receive with simplicity everything that happens to you.
Here's hoping for a DS9 expansion. I would love to see an actual DS9 mini-station, the Cardassians (favorite ST villain), the Dominion, some intrigue from Section 31, and an appearance from the funny Ferengi.
Why are thay taking soooo long... Just give us a shred of info, pleaaaaase!
I second here!
Gorn, Kardassian, Dominium, Borg, Species 8472, DS9, Voyager, new ships, new Crew and.... Q!
I can see it now:
Star Trek: Fleet Captains LEGACY - Q expansion!
To move Q, roll a die: on a 1, Q is distracted by mortals and stays where he is; on 2-6, snap your fingers and move Q to any location. (Q's movement ability overrides phenomena such as black holes)
When playing as Q, if you get a mission you don't like, roll a die: on 1-3, tear up the mission and draw a new one; on 4-6, take a Sharpie and cross out / rewrite any mission text as you see fit (except for the VP value).
