Super excited for the Bird of Prey now! A Klingon captain with skill 9! Command counters look awesome!

Cool, a 9 captain combined with an ability to sensor echo 1, 2 or 3 should prove to be powerful.

Non-Changeling Martok will be nice! Good to get an early look at the Ch'Tang. I'll definitely be making one of those up to play with my friends!

Surprised (and pleased) that it doesn't come with tons of cards - and that one of those is just an alternate Martok. I guess the Krayton needed more cards as there aren't any other Ferengi ships. This bodes well, I think, for the prize ships not being something to obsess too much over not having from a collectors point of view.

That Martok with Gowron and a swarm is going to be pretty nasty. I hope I can win him.

Nice find, Stormtrooper721!

Liking the Bird of Prey.........this just further confims that this class of ship will be a multiple pick up for me.

Liking the participation prizes (from what we can see).

Like the LE Martok very much.........as apposed to that coward Gowron, General Martok is going to be in the thick of it......with honor! cool

And I though Sensor Echoing for 2 was big......3 is huge.

Very interested to see the rest of this LE kit.

Well it comes with more than what were shown.

========(from the instruction sheet)==========
9 Cards (with 2 Ship Cards, 1 Maneuver
Card, 2 Captain Cards, and 4 Upgrade
Cards).
==================

So 9 cards, just like the Krayton.

I mentioned it elsewhere that I'm looking forward to the first time we get to compare an LE ship to a general release ship (which should be with the next LE preview in about a month when the P.W.B. Aj’rmr/D’deridex-class is previewed).

Yep, command tokens will be my choice for OP2 now. Adding/improving defense will be key.

Other scenarios might use the EAD, it depends on the scenario.

Since command tokens are the participation prize for OP2, we won't have that luxury at our FLGS.

Generic Bird of Prey is 4/1/3/2 and comes in a 20 points. I could see 4x (or 5x if you are feisty) of the bird of prey making an interesting fleet choice in the future.

Strong, but strong enough to cost you the Elite Attack Die? You can only have one resource so it is either one or the other. I'm curious to see what the later resources are as the first two have been interesting so far.

Elite attack die is not that good, averages MAYBE +1 damage per round as opposed to just all regular dice. 5 Free actions that don't fill crew/tech/captain slots? priceless (well, unless it's more than 10 squad points or something but the video said 5)

EDIT: Not to mention the ability to give the Battlestations action to ships that don't have it. KHAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!

From what we know about the Command Tokens/Cards/Reference Cards it sounds like builds that are action deficient are going to get a real boost from it.

I know with my background in X-Wing I still cringe when I can't find a way to get battle stations (or simulated effect, like several crew members are capable) on most of my ships.

In that situation this would be a big boost.......event for the 1 use of it (if I am interpreting the use of it, correctly) if I time it right.

I don't think either the Elite Attack Die or the Command Tokens are better than the other but some are going to have better value on certain fleet builds, I'm sure of that.

I'm not crazy about Command Tokens. I think it's an unnecessary addition to a brand new game. I could see maybe introducing something like this a few years down the road, but this is like giving us the Utility Belt with Infinity Challenge. Plus the general consensus is in HeroClix is that resources are pretty much despised. Just like the hammer resource everyone is going to have to use it because everyone will be using it.

To my knowledge, these cost 10 SP, so they cost twice as much as the Elite Attack Die. I don't have a printed version however, so I can't swear to it.

Ok but the resources, in Heroclix, do ridiculous things. Like stat modification, Bonus TAs, protection from outwit.....ect.

This is 5 single use action tokens. That is not 'nothing' but it's not exactly earth shattering in comparison.

Other than the game term 'resource' they aren't really a good comparison.

if 5 actions in a game where engagements generally last 3 rounds to decide a clear victor isn't earth shattering, I don't know what is. It's like all your ships are captained by Picard. I guess we'll just have to see when OP 2 comes up.

Keep in mind that you can only use 1 Command Token per round, no matter how many ships are in your fleet.

Those torpedos are potentially VERY powerful. In a world with Gowron and Donatra, those things could possibly let you roll about 13 attack dice in one attack. The consequences are harsh as you discard the torpedo and get aux tokens but they seem a great way for an alpha strike against a lead ship.

Agreed.

However, I do like the fact that this becomes an additional counter to Cloak. Up to this point, it's pretty much been a no-brainer for the Klings and Roms to cloak as much and as often as possible. Now that there is a possibility for an extremely high attack potential for 5-6 points for each faction, the Cloak action seems to have been brought back in-line with other actions, IMHO.

It's really given everyone the ability to perform an Alpha Strike where the Roms and Klings were really the only one's able to do so in any effective manner prior to this.
