Hey all,

For those following our FaceBook page, the Boston Festival of Indie Games was a great successs--lots of people picked up the free micro-game (soon to be uploaded here), and we had a very positive reaction to the game (now on version 6.0).

New updates include:
--shorter game length
--no player or character elimination
--more strawberries! (translation: more focus on strawberry picking and no random equipment draws)
--introduction of the "Royal Bazaar"
--unique champions for each kingdom (which provide more replayability and multiple game-opening strategies)
--an intermediate board (Kingdom Map) with simplified setup rules
--the Gardner, Queen, and Wizard have been designated as "advanced" characters and are only used when playing the advanced game (which may be played on the 'advanced' Garden Map or on the regular Kingdom Map)
--PICK3 variant (even simpler rules for novice players being introduced to the game)

In fact, the micro-game that was handed out at the BostonFIG included the rules for PICK3, but it was only for two players (the Mountain and River kingdoms), their opening character choices were limited to 5 unique character selections, and the equipment cards and the Royal Bazaar were stripped away (leaving a very minimal--but still highly enjoyable, strategic, and playable base game).

Our artist Audrey Fry is continuing to churn out more wonderful artwork (when time permits), and we are very excited to soon be showing some examples of what the final game art will look like

In the meantime, I am preparing an updated version of the rulebook and formatting the PnP prototype files (so that cards can be easily printed front-to-back). I'll upload the micro-game before then so that people can get a taste of what was handed out at BostonFIG (and it all fits on 1 sheet of paper!).
