The legendary drop rates in True Vault Hunter Mode in Borderlands 2 are too low. I shouldn't have to kill the Warrior 300 times to get a lvl 50 Conference Call to drop. amirite?

Try ultimate Vault hunter modes, the drops are even more shit.

By the way the worst has to be Whatshisfae the invincible, we have been in a party of 4 and got a legendary drop (thee times in a row) for the same class, and none of us were that class.

Too little too late. I'm not going back to D3.

Personally, I pine for the early days of the original Dungeon Siege. Like the original Diablo but with better graphics and without the "grinding" you got in Diablo II. Of course, I don't think it had multi-player, but other people always steal the good loot from drops so I never miss them in single player games.

Yeah, D3 was too drastic a change from D2.

There's always Marvel Heroes. I find it more like D2 than most games out there. The only problem is you don't have immediate access to all chars, but they can be farmed.

Isn't this a massive grind fest with minimal enemy diversity - but with an awesome skill tree?

It aggravates me that they don't have a Mac client. Philistines.

It can be grindy that's for sure, it definitely needs work on at least giving a nod to some of the RPG elements these types of games claim to encompass (it is still beta I beleive). But, as far as elevator hack and slash games go, it's pretty cool. So far, the grinding hasn't become bothersome enough to say it ruins the game, but I haven't finished it yet either. The second time through is usually when a game of this genre really sinks or swims.

It's interesting when I play it with my daughter, she pretty much ignores the token story line (the same for Borderlands) and is enamored with the leveling-up and equipment upgrades. Which PoE shines at (as does Borderlands), while I am always saying "did you listen to what that character said about this particular area?". If she was more RPG oriented we'd probably not have as much fun with PoE. She does like Skyrim, but I think it's because the level-up ladder is so secondary to actually doing "stuff" in the game.

I like Borderlands for two reasons

1) Blow Shit up
2) Irreverent (to say the least) humor.

which reminds me, I need to actually go and finish Borderlands 2.... I have been playing way to much Worldwide Football Manager.
