It's inadmissible that a company specialized in miniature production sell a product like "Level 7 Omega Protocol" with all the miniature heavily warped at the cost of 90 Euro (europe cost).

For this price i would have expected a really good quality miniature... and made with hard plastic.

I'm really really disappointed about that.

Toss them into very hot water (though not boiling), and they will straighten back out. Then use a spoon to pluck them out and toss them into ice water to freeze them in the correct mold.

Some people also use a hair dryer instead of hot water.

Depending on the thickness of the plastic the change will take anywhere between 5 and 45 seconds.

Sometimes the thicker plastic won't completely go back to their original mold (or the really thin plastic will become too soft), but once you pull them out of the hot water you should be able to gently push or hold them into the correct shape while you dunk them into the ice water.

I've done this many times. It's pretty easy, and unless you are throwing your mini's into water with a roaring boil they should be fine.

Aliens seem to be pretty thin plastic, so I would not leave them in hot water too long - very easy to fix though.

it seems not so easy. Even after the suggested procedure, the base return in it's original warped form.... shakegulp

Try it for a bit longer then - I fixed all of mine with a slight bend in under ten minutes...

Hi Francesco, I just finished fixing mine, some of them, especially the Fear Hunters took two passes to get the base back in shape. I'll now wait a few days and, eventually, repeat the process a second time, According to some past experiences I had with some FFG Games that should fix them for good.
I suggest you do the same if the minis warp back out of shape.
Cheers
Rob

I agree - however...I've re-based all of mine with corresponding warhammer fantasy bases. They clip off the old bases without loosing their feet extremely easily, and reattach without issue to the new bases with greenstuff, or plastic glue! It makes the miniatures themselves look so much better.

Also, I've done some basing to make them really pop! Hope that helps a little.

My game featured warped minis and while some have retained their new shape after the hot water trick.
Which I did yesterday afternoon several times for some of the minis.

Several have warped again this morning.

Cronos is leaning forward a lot again.

And one of the hunters is looking very crossed legged.

I will try again later but if they warp again what's the options?

It seems no exception but the rule for boxes to have warped figures.
My "euro"-box cost me 62,- Eur, still a high price but good enough for an import product.

On a side note: I wonder, in case of games like this, Cuthroat Caverns or Love Letter, why there is no distribution by Heidelberger Spieleverlag or Pegasus in Germany for instance.

Twisted Figures - Quick Fix

Just tried this myself with my mini's for L7OP. Worked like a charm!

Thanks for the post!! I wouldn't have found it otherwise.

I had the same issue, but instead of placing them in the boiling water, I put them over hot steam. I used a tea kettle, so it had a direct blast of heat for about 10 - 12 seconds. Then I IMMEADIATELY placed them in a bowl of super cold iced water, while holding the figure & base to the shape I wanted for 5 - 10 seconds. I did this one at a time. (Steam, freeze & then do the next)

Most of them came out great after this. However, I did have to do a couple of them a second time to get them perfect. (They were still much better than when I started, but I didn't get them hot enough the first time.)

Also, I added salt to the iced water to get it freezing.
