While I really enjoy the game, I absolutely detest the rulebook. The whole breaking it up into the different game types may work when you are learning the game, but later on it just makes looking up rules questions a pain.

I assume that someone has put together a revised version of the rules that hopefully fixes that. Can someone point me to the best revised rulebook?

Thanks!

I wrote a fairly comprehensive Quick Start Guide for the entire game. I felt exactly like you that the three different game modes are confusing and difficult to keep straight. When I taught new players, I always just played normal rules and stopped the game after 1 age if needed. My Quick Start guide should sort out just about all the rules.

Yeah, except I play on there and I'll get in a situatin where I'm not sure how something is going to work. I'd rather figure it out before I screw my game up.

You can always ask those questions here. Response time is usually quite good.

Paging through the Files section, I see that there are rewrites on page 1 and 2, a comprehensive "Quick Start Guide" on page 4, an FAQ on page 5, and a detailed Player Aid on page 10. The only one I've ever consulted is the FAQ, though, which is probably the format farthest from what you're looking for, so I can't speak to their relative merits.

You can reset any action that didn't reveal hidden information (e.g. exposing a seeded event by playing one yourself).

That doesn't answer, "how will war work?" type questions, but the lion's share happens on your own turn, and can be undone.

Most of my questions are about things that require finishing a turn... How certain events or pacts works, what happens in certain situations like if the end of an age triggers something, etc. I'm aware you can reset the turn and redo your moves, I do it quite often.

But even if I could get every answer online, there still should be a better version of the rulebook made.

This rules summary is what I used to learn the game, along with the FAQ.

Yes! This Quick Start Guide is nearly a complete replacement for the rulebook, and it is what I use when I need to remind myself how to play:
TTA Quick Start Guide

This rewrite also looks excellent:
