Question about Pulsar, from Remington Smisse.

The text of the card say:

"Inflicts +1 fire damage per 1AP and 1MP remanining."

The cost for this spell is 2MP+3AP.

Remington Smisse has 4MP and 6AP.

So, under normal conditions, when using this spell, Remington would have still 2MP and 3AP.

What damage bonus in this case?

+5 Fire damage? Once remaining 2MP and 3AP (2+3 = 5);

or

+2 Fire damage? Since that is +1 bonus for each set of 1MP/1AP.

Does anyone know? Thank you!

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

It would do 5 points of fire damage, 1 damage for each AP and each MP remaining. He can do tremendous damage with AP/MP boosting demonic rewards, for example Xelor style.

I haven't played with him yet but that seems too overpowered compared to the damage range of other characters abilities.

No,that interpretation is correct. While it seems very powerful (5 points of damage), do not forget he will be giving up all his AP and MP. He will be just sitting there unable to do anything but attack. It'll be easy to pick him off from afar.

He is pretty good, but for Pulsar to go off at full strength he can't move. Generally when you play against RS, you simply keep your distance and target other units. Not to say his regular attack isn't good as well, but he is level 5. Heck, Percimol can do at least 3 damage melee without any restriction of having moved, and 6 if he hasn't. Generally RS being a preferred level 5 has more to do with the other level 5's, Victor Don Voom and Shak Shaka being far too weak for their levels.
