I own an FLGS (Friendly Local Game Store) called Game Nite located in St. Louis, MO. We have been asked by Wizard World to host a game room on their national tour of Comic Cons. As much as possible we are trying to plug into the local gaming community to make this part of the Con programming successful and fun and I could use help.
The Nashville Comic Con is scheduled for Oct 18-19-20, 2013.
We are looking for around 6-8 people to run "learn to play" demonstrations in the game room. Each demonstration block "shift" would be 4 hours long. Each volunteer would watch 2-3 tables of different games set-up and give interested people a quick start on the rules and help with questions as needed. As a thank-you, the volunteer would receive a full weekend pass to Wizard World Nashville Comic Con.
The time slots we are looking to have covered are:
- Demo Block A - Fri 4pm-8pm;
- Demo Block B - Sat 12pm-4pm;
- Demo Block C - Sat 4pm-8pm;
- Demo Block D - Sun 12pm-4pm;
We are asking demonstrators to be able to do one block on Saturday and another on either Friday or Sunday.
Examples of games we would like to have represented in our schedule would be:
7 Wonders, Carcassonne, Castle Panic, DC Deck Building Game, Dominion, Forbidden Island, King of Tokyo, Lords of Waterdeep, Love Letter, Marvel Legendary DBG, Munchkin, Settlers of Catan, Small World, Smash Up, Stone Age, Takenoko, Ticket to Ride, Tsuro
From each volunteer we are looking for:
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Time Blocks available (with preference)
- Games from the list above they would be comfortable demonstrating.

Thank you for your time,
