Now that there's a Prairie Aflame module, anyone willing to play it with me?

By the way, the Prairie Aflame and Cufra modules are now available on Andy Loakes' LimeyYank website. That being the case, I've removed them from my DropBox in favor of Andy's website where they will now permanently reside.

Cufra
http://limeyyankgames.co.uk/vassal/cufra-1931

Prairie Aflame
http://limeyyankgames.co.uk/vassal/prairie-aflame

If anyone finds errors, let me know. Happy to fix them.

Tom

B-26: The Marauder Strikes! has now 400 pre-orders!

Thank you very much for all that support. I did not expect this and couldn't even imagine that it would reach 400. I am very happy. Thank you.

I am very happy for you Magnus and cannot wait for it to begin publication. It and its various expansions should keep you and Legion busy for some years to come

I hope you and Steve Dixon will think about things like "Night Fighters Over Europe" and "The Silent Service" or "Panther". You guys can make a whole industry centered around solitaire games. I know the Compass Games and DVG games are not of the same type or scale so there's still a good market to be grasped. So, strike while the iron is hot guys.

Thank you very much, Tom! You know that you are the reason behind the 400 pre-orders. Mr Jim Pink's support has also been very important for B-26 and it's 400 pre-orders.

It's you and Jim. You guys are the best.

Magnus.

That's perhaps a bit overstating things. All I've done is a bit of "cheerleading" not that anyone wants the image of a half bald 220 lb six foot 55 year old ex college defensive tackle with a paunch as their image of a cheerleader stuck in their minds. For the very little I've done I'm pleased to have been of service to you, Legion, and the hobby.

Please consider doing a solitaire PT boat game as well. That's a side of WW2 that is woefully under-represented in games, and seems to be right up your alley. Players could control one boat or a small group (up to a squadron) depending on your design choices. Pacific for sure, but the Med offers some drama as well.

I'll bet pre-orders would come in quickly!

Steve Dixon is working on a PT Boat game right now, though perhaps it's number 2 on his "to do" list. I would also bet Steve is taking a well deserved vacation following the release of Target For Today.

Pre-ordered WCSC? Want a freebie?

Well folk, I've resisted shilling since (IIRC) CSW Expo back in June. Whether directly related or not, the pre-orders slowed to a trickle.

But, at last, we have just 2 more orders to hit our numbers. So, perhaps a little more shilling in in order to get us over the line.

And this is nice shilling - because I have a freebie to give away.

I recently bought a game off Ebay from (unknown to me at the time) from one of the WCSC play testers. When I received the package I found he'd generously included a beautifully bound copy of Francisco Balbi's first-hand account of the siege.

Now, I'm not giving that copy away but I already had the paperback (you may have seen me singing its praise here and on CSW) and I'd be delighted to send it totally free of charge (I'll cover the postage too - anywhere) to the first person to claim it (via email/messaging - not posting here) and who:

- Has placed (or now places) a pre-order for WCSC - this will be taken on trust, I'm not going to check

- Commits to post here, when they've read it, to offer it up f.o.c. to anyone else who may like to read it.

This really is a cracking read. Its translated from the Spanish by none other than Ernle Bradford (if you know your history of the siege you'll know that name). Don't let the fact it was written in Spanish, by an Italian, in the late 1500s put you off - the language is extremely accessible.

I bought the book second hand but the condition is very good.

Read more here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Siege-Malta-1565-Translated-Singula... (this isn't the edition on offer).

Any takers?

You can pre-order the game here: http://www.legionwargames.com/legion_WCR.html

Very much appreciated Thomas.

Just off to bed here in the UK. Fingers crossed, when I rise in the morning, we may be there.

Thanks to everyone who has shown confidence in this game so far.

Love the authors quote from his book on the Burma campaign

Quote:
“Looking back over sixty-odd years, life is like a piece of string with knots in it, the knots being those moments that live in the mind forever, and the intervals being hazy, half-recalled”

Howdy Didier and/or Randy

Is there any possibility of a Legion reprint, and repair to latest edition of the rules, of the old Pratzen versions of the Vive L'Empereur series?
