Wait until your done. When you're done, post that you've completed some (draft) rules for an RPG, and then ask. Your responses will probably be better and more positive, and it doesn't help to ask now if you might not even finish them for another year. Even if you think you're almost done, you'll probably soon realize you're not. It's one of Murphy's laws: the first 90% of a project takes 90% of the time, and the last 10% of the project takes the other 90%.

Also, when you post that you're interested in playtesters, you may want to describe it a little. High or low fantasy? Miniatures necessary? Type of setting? What kind of characters are you playing / fighting? Any special mechnics that differentiate it from the d20 systems, etc.? (EDIT And as noted by another commenter below, remember this is a Boardgame site, so you're RPG should be a boardgame-related RPG (e.g., Runebound, Descent, D&D Boardgame, etc.) rather than a pure RPG.

Best of luck!

Well, a few reasons. Please don't take offense.

1) This is not a role playing site
2) You are asking now about a game not yet completed and give no details
3) Your spelling and language are so poor in this one post that directions are bound to be nearly impossible to figure out
4) There's no such thing as a 19 sided die

Overall, it just seems outlandish.

I think he meant 190 sided die. Simple mistake really.

Also, don't forget to visit his awesome website:

edit: apparently the site has some naughty popups! I did not notice them because I don't get popups on my browser. BGGers be advised!

Oh, by rounding the edges. Thank you. I couldn't picture a flat-sided three-dimensional shape with fewer sides than a tetrahedron.

(Although I guess you could call a quarter a sort of two-sided die.)

And is there any real reason to use one of those instead of using a standard D6 and grouping the six results into three pairs of possibilities?

Not really. As cool as they are (I'm seeking one for my collection of dice), I don't see any real practical use for them. Besides, they're excessively expensive.

Stick with six siders, everyone has those.

If you take a regular 20 sided die and renumber it 0-19 then you have a 19 sided die.

The most common 3 siders I've seen are D6s labelled 1-3 twice. I figured that's what he meant.

Aww, sweet crud, what the hell was that!

Its a nearly blank page, but any attempt to leave it fills your system with not-safe-for-work sites.

This is absurd.

Get a new provider.

And I think its fairly common knowledge on this site that I'm a Marketing Director and corporate web designer by career.

www.zendrum.com
www.ontrackmpower.com
www.toohipfortheroom.com

And you may have seen that billing site I designed for The New York Times, if you ever subscribed to it...
