In a 4 player game, if someone gets a villain early that lets all opponents take a weakness, and nobody bothers to get defense cards, you could possibly need quite a few ...

You might not usually but it will happen. I had an extreme case yesterday in a four player game where one player snagged two copies of Scrarecrow very early on. Let me tell you, Heat Vision and Bizarro were both cards that were instantly snatched up later.

My first game ever:

5 players.

Lex Luthor flipped.

No defenses.

3 villains faceup in lineup.

15 weaknesses dealt.



I have run out of weaknesses on occasion since as well.

It's highly situational. Sometimes you'll only use a few. Sometimes someone'll get Scarecrow in the first couple of turns and you could run out of Weaknesses.
