Is it straight or snake? Does the first pick of each pack alternates as well?

Yes, the first pick alternates between each "pack". So whoever picks first from the first set of 8 cards will pick second in the next set. This should lead to bother players ending up with the same number of cards and both getting a chance to have a first pick.

Also, how do you decide first player?

We houseruled that after seeing the content of the first pack, the high roller decides if s/he wants first or second pick on that pack. The low roller then decides after the draft if s/he wants to start the game or go second.

We roll to see who picks first, and whoever wins the roll has to pick first (they can't choose to pick second.) We keep the same player order during gameplay. I'll add this to the Official FAQ as well, which I should finish up soon...
