I want to show my local librarian the suggestions and advice about starting to check out games from our library. How do I locate those articles? I tried Advanced Search with not much success, but I don't have too much patience for long searches. Some of you might know exactly where those articles are.

Bgg search sucks.

A quick google of: bgg library games

came up with quite a few entries which look promising.

Thanks Enrico. I'll go over the Google list with my friendly local librarian.

A basic problem with this would be that lending out games is much more complicated and labor intensive than books or DVDs. Someone would have to inventory the game each time. So what do they do if they buy Ticket to Ride for $50 and it comes back missing a train? What if some cards are bent or dirty? Do they bill the person the $50?

It probably needs to be a non-circulating library, like some books in a reference section. However games will still be more susceptible to degradation than books...

That's gonna make the library as a quiet place right hard to maintain.

There would need to be a dedicated room for gaming closed off from other areas.
