I am expecting a shipment of games soon - and more rulebooks for the table.

Gettysburg 150 has been printed and hopefully will arrive in the mail soon. I am reading the PDF of the rules to get ready for its arrival.

Subscribing to the announcement list will make sure you are notified each month: Rulebooks on your Table Subscription Thread.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading this October.

Blocks In The East & Blocks In The West.

I am expecting a delivery of BITE & BITW. I have been working through the rules the last few weeks but anticipate I will need the game on my table to acompany the rules to better grasp it.

PDFs printed, highlighter pens out and the following are getting the treatment:

Canadian Crucible: Brigade Fortress at Norrey

A Distant Plain

Also giving Vassal a run-through for the first time with my regular oppressor...um...gaming partner, and trying out an oldie with the 1975 rules set:

Blitzkrieg

After that, and with proper gaming time ahead over December, I hope to get through the Marie Louise rules for La Bataille de la Moscowa (third edition).

Haven't played this in a while and really want to toss it down on the table. I've been playing with a friend and his young sons recently and I think this would be a good step up for the boys into actual wargames. They can sort of team up with their father against me but still have autonomous control over their own armies.

The Civil War, refreshing my rules knowledge for this evening, my first face to face game of this.

Band of Brothers: Screaming Eagles, I promised the friday gaming group I'd have this learned at the end of the week. I've read it before, now I just to need to put it all in practice.

A Distant Plain is on the table (reading the playbook to the 9w-old), The Supreme Commander in the queue.

Currently playing(-by-email) a game of Cuba Libre on Vassal with three new players -- two of which new to the COIN system entirely. It's ... interesting.

Looking into the SCS; got Afrika II and Bastogne. Bastogne made it to the table first. Very well-written series rules and scenario rules, and the learning scenario seems to make sure you know how to overrun things that get in your way.

Go to the Files section. I created some flow charts to walk you through the process. They aren't hard. Heck, I have them all memorized, but for new people learning, I want to help flatten the shallow curve.
