That's one thing I thought for one of my game that could be applied to stock ticker. It is inspired from the "Automobile" game market tile where you have a part of the information and from the catan event cards.

In stock ticker, you could have cards containing all the possible combinations of stock, value and action. Which creates 6x3x3=54 cards.

Then during a turn, you distribute 6-8 cards among players. A certain number of cards is set aside and will not be used until the next shuffle. Players can look at their card and they can all buy or sell shares. Then all the cards are revealed at the same time and the market is adjusted accordingly.

So player know the outcome of 1 or 2 share each turn, and their action could influence the actions of other player (ex: This guy is buying a lot of gold, something is fishy). Or you could fool other player's this way too.

So there will be a bit of strategy, while balancing the odds, and no need for special dices which is good for a print and play game.
