"When Kralathor attacks and devours a Corporeal creature, it places a Growth maker on itself. If Kralathor devours an undead creature, place an antacid marker on it"

I like the reach with a melee attack.

Nice touch.

Does "Devour" only trigger if it kills a creature? Also, I know the set is Druid v Necromancer, but thematically it doesn't seem appropriate that plants would have bonuses against the undead (Plants vs Zombies jokes notwithstanding), that seems more of a Holy vs Dark school conflict. I like the reach, though--just the image of this big vine shooting up into the air to eat a passing bat or falcon.

Yeah like a giant worm trying to eat the Millennium falcon! I love it too. I want to know how devour works.

"Devour (Attack Trait)
This creature eats other creatures! If an attack with devour would destroy a corporeal creature, Obliterate that creature instead."

"Obliterate (Effect)
When you obliterate an object, it is utterly destroyed, leaving no
trace. The object is destroyed, then it is removed from the game.
It does not become discarded or get returned to a spellbook. Any
ability or effect printed on that object, or attached to it (such as a
marker or enchantment), which triggers on destruction, is canceled.
Other destruction effects, not attached to or part of the Obliterated
object, can still occur."

"Growth (Condition Marker)
A creature with a Growth condition marker has
grown in size. Each Growth marker provides Melee
+1 and Innate Life +3. This marker has no removal
cost, and cannot be removed by spells or effects
which remove condition markers."

All of this taken from the official Mage Wars website. Hopefully this clarifies exactly how Kralathor works.

Any strategies for keeping this guy under control?
With the growth markers he appears to get very strong very fast! Especially against the necromancer.
(only played with base decks)
