So I'll be heading overseas in a months time and will be staying over at a friends place [free lodging + food]

Thinking of bringing over a few games to give him. I've already got Hanabi & Resistance : Avalon and am thinking of getting one more game.

He and his wife already have the following, which they enjoy :-

7 Wonders
Airlines Europe
Bohnanza
Dixit
Dominion + Prosperity
Carcassonne
El Grande Decennial
San Juan
Settlers + Seafarers of Catan

Preferably something between 60-90 mins + not too heavy imo.

Hmmm..basically "chill out" family games...

Therefore, how about the ff:

1. Rise of Augustus
2. The Castles of Burgundy
3. Love Letter
4. Fresco
5. Stone Age

Note that I've put games which do not duplicate the mechanisms of the games they already have...as already they have card drafting, tile placement, deckbuilding, area control, role selection, trading, etc.

I play games not to win, it's the gathering that's important - Thanks for the tip Cate108!

You can never go wrong with gateway games. Try these:

- Ticket to Ride: Europe
- Pergamon
- Thebes
- Santiago de Cuba
- Rialto
- Power Grid: Factory Manager

But I suspect they're too light for them. So for something slightly deeper (by tiny bit, and also because 2/3 of the games you're giving are light):

- +1 Fresco
- Bruges
- Egizia (2p need some house rule)
- Last Will
- Ninjato

Good luck!

+1 to Love Letter, which has the advantage of also being small and light. In a similar fillerish but eminently replayable vein I would suggest No Thanks! and Sushizock im Gockelwok which get lots of replays here.

For something a little more substantial, there is a new edition of Taluva out. Just get it.

+1 to Bruges, Lords of Waterdeep (with almost must-have Skullport Expansion), and Galaxy Trucker.

On the lighter side and a bit out of the Euro sphere, let me add

Blood Bowl Team Manager
Forbidden Desert
Elder Sign
