I can't believe your head exploded. If your head explodes, you'll never make it on BGG.

Just making sure everyone is aware another Reaper Bones Kickstarter is happening right now. Some mummies, skeletons, zombies, minotaurs, heroes, giants (add-ons), giant rats, a Gorgon, a Chimera, some Skaven-esque models (add-ons), etc.

I know there were some people that hang around here that ended up missing the last one, would hate for that to happen again.

Can someone explain this in a simple manner? We donate, then get minis for the donation? Has someone here done it? For how much and what did they get? How was the experience?

Still gutted I missed the original Bones - it seemed to have more 'classical' minis than this more specialised one. Still a great deal though.

By what amount must one expand their "mini" collection for it to be considered "maxi?"

Yep, you donate the amount you want for the set you'd like (plus any extras), and when they manufacture them you'll get the ones you ordered. I contributed to the first Bones Kickstarter, and had no problems at all.

(Technically Kickstarter doesn't guarantee that the product will be made, but Reaper is a reputable company who knows what they're doing.)

Yeah, I found some comments online.

In fact the first Kickstarter page and videos are still there for reference and comparison.

They got 3.4 million a year ago.

German,
For $100, you get everything in the purple. It's not really a donation, the minis are only prototyped right now, and you are funding the cost of making the molds so Reaper can add them to their line of minis. Right now the cost is around 60 cents a mini for the 100 pledge. The orange items you can add to your pledge based on the listed amount per item ( or set ).
The other colors are expansion sets for $50 each.

Not too crazy about the Skaven (even though the Rat Ogre is cool,) but I am sorry I missed Bones I now!

The rat ogre and the 3 assassins remind me of old GW forms, but in much better, more dynamic poses. The others kinda weird me out. Gimp Dwarf miner? Not sure what's going on there. Gopher Sorcerer? Weird. Rat centaur pack mule thing? Disturbing.
