The nuclear reactor next door just had a "minor accident" releasing lethal doses of radiation. A nice man in a hazmat suit stopped by to let you know that you'll be dead soon.

So of course, it's time to play a board game! As it turns out you'll have just enough time to finish before succumbing to a painful death. What game do you want to be your last one?

The full campaign of Steel Wolves: The German Submarine Campaign Against Allied Shipping – Vol 1. That should buy me some more time among the living...

Sorry, but do you really expect any serious answers to that kind of a question?

Agricola. A game that's notorious for giving you the feeling that there's not nearly enough time to do everything that you want to do would be very appropriate given the circumstances.

Grim Reaper against designer Wyon Stansfeld on the 10x10 challenge board.

I am serious.

One of my favorite abstracts. It does not hurt, given the conditions of play expressed by the OP above, that my games against Wyon can take many many turns.

For what it is worth the representative image has issues. The game is not really played on a dark board with dark pieces. You have to click through to see the correct image.

I don't understand why you question the seriousness of my last game before nuclear accident death scenario. This is serious stuff buddy!

Arkham Horror, with all the expansions.. Or Advanced Squad Leader.. Either way, if I'm going to go, I might as well play the longest games I can think of. We are assuming we'd survive til the game was over, right?

If we indeed get to play the game to the end, evidently Monopoly with all the common houserules. That never ends. And at some point, you'll welcome death.

I'll bite. I like these sorts of questions; it's fun to take them seriously.

I assume other players are a given.

I'm a sentimental family man, so I would play a game of Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed because it's one of my daughter's favorites, all three of us can play it together (and we all like it), and we get to mime silly things and bounce monkeys off of a plastic bed. Not a bad way to go, all things considered.

Assuming my wife is with me and we are both dying, guess we'd play a game of Pandemic with the expansions. However, if I were really going to die very soon, we'd spend the time just being with each other (we don't need distractions like movies or games to enjoy each other's company).

If you'd not said board game it would be Vampire the Masquarade... no ending ever...

However I'd say, depending on players availiable... Battlestar Galactica, or 20 laps of formula D, or Stock Ticker
