Hi,
We know that summoning stone is a familiar however it is also an obstacle.
We know that neither Heroes or monsters (with scamper) can not move trough it.
We know that monsters and Heroes can fight it.

However what about movement around it?

Can monster or hero (maybe some maybe neither) move from A to B ?

And if yes can anyone move from C to D ?

IMHO it is not possible between c to d, but there might be some doubt between A to B..

But if asked as OL/Mod I would say no

Yes for both. A and B are adjacent spaces, as are C and D.

If so I have played this part wrongly from some time now

Stone is treated as obstacle:

Unfortunately yes.
See example on p. 9 of the rulebook (under number "3"):

Also, see p.8 : "However, figures may move diagonally (including around corners and between two blocked spaces) and through friendly figures."

Yeah, that was the passage I tried to find last night. That's the one that proves it.

As a quick reminder, just notice that familiar tokens are octagonal (so they leave a little space on their corners for a figure to pass through).

Also been playing wrong...
Time to re-read movement and LoS rules!

Am I the only one that finds the movement and LoS rules weird in this game? I know it should be simple... but somehow I just can't get my head around it, and keep remembering it wrong.

If the hundreds of threads on the topics are any indication, no, you're not the only one.

They certainly are weird, but I would not say that they are not simple to use.
