Hi all
I have just purchase the game. Reading the rules, I was surprised to see Artillery blocks and furthermore they are quite powerful.
I was wondering what those artillery blocks represent in the game.

At this scale level, isn't artillery supposed to be integrated in corps or army infantry blocks ?

Greetings
Rafael

Hello Rafael

and thanks for writing.

Your question is very interesting.

In BITE almost every Army has a dedicated heavy artillery support (the Ground Support Units) which represent the army level artilelry.

In example, all the German Army Armies have 1: from the north to the south they have the 18th and the 16th, the 4th and the 9th (later the 2nd too), the 6th and the 17th, with the 11th deployed in Romania.

Only the 20th, deployed in Norway, has been omitted.

Idem for panzer army.

For the Soviets you have 1 Artillery Support Unit for every Front Army, and the Minor Powers have 1 each (the Supreme Leader).

Artillery may stack with 2 Infantry/armor corps (which are the Ground Combat Units) and this is to simulate the long range battery fire, but also 2 artillery may stack with 1 Ground Combat Unit.

Hope this helps.

ALL THE BEST
