There's no simple explanation for anything important any of us do, and yeah the human tragedy consists of the necessity of living with the consequences, under pressure, under pressure. -Courage (For Hugh Maclennan): The Tragically Hip

What? They celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada? Before Halloween? I'm so confused.

As someone who grew up on a cash crop farm, I'll say that is an excellent answer.

Back to the original question: I've been playing the "lets work most of the long weekend" game.

So it goes with the service industry. At least I get today off.

Thanksgiving in Canada?!? As an American I vote we drop this farce of a holiday known as Columbus Day and replace it with a second Thanksgiving, we could call it pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving (the name may need work)!!! As I am off today and will be cooking the traditional pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving dinner of Tacos I will be enjoying a few games of Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Rise of the Runelords – Base Set and Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game and if there is time maybe some Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island. Happy pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving everyone!!!

And Happy Thanksgiving to our Northern neighbors!!

To answer the OP question I always bring and play some simple games for the family. My wife, nephews, niece, daughter and brother-in-law played King of Tokyo, Bohnanza, Blue Moon, Kinder Bunnies: Their First Adventure, and a messed up new version of Risk. )What's Hasbro done to Risk?).

A good time was had by all!
