I just remember a white hexagonal board composed of many smaller hexagons. The hex sides were actually depressed trenches where small plastic walls could be inserted. The game pieces (3 each side I think) were divided into red and blue, and they looked like stylized ancient Greek warriors.
The object of the game was to trap your opponent's pieces so none could move. In your turn you could either place a plastic wall or move one of your pieces. I seem to recall that this game was produced by Ideal in the mid-1970's.
