I'm currently working on movement diagrams for fan made game pieces that I created for Hive. Currently, I'm using Google Drawing which is kinda clunky and it's very slow to load. I would place the pieces around accordingly and then convert the drawing to a PDF but it seems a little too large still and loading is not instantaneous. I could probably reduce the PDF size further but that's another extra step.

Is there a better free program out there that I can use to quickly create this and without having to convert the file to a PDF? I'm open to suggestions.

This is the Google Drawing file (extremely slow to load):

Converted to PDF (faster)

For my Hive drawings I use Inkscape. Works good.
