The images here on geek show some VERY SEVERE board warping - the kind that makes a game with tall narrow pieces next to impossible to remain standing.

Based on those images alone, I'm steering very clear of this game.

Which images? This one:

looks like the front of the board is being lifted by the weight of things put on it, such as the top of the box. I have had no problems with DoW boards.

It looks to me like it's just a prototype board, made out of who knows what.

The boards do warp. But as they are pretty small, I guess they can be flexed a bit to be flat again.

The boards do warp a bit, but there don't seem to be any problems with pieces standing on them - I played several times and didn't see anything fall over except when someone knocked it with their arm.

I agree the images do seem to show some boards concave and some convex. But my guess is this is not a final production version.

I have Shadows Over Camelot by the same company which comes with four big boards and all of them are dead flat and very solid, so I would be very surprised if Cleopatra's were all that different.

Sag.
