I prefer playing Löwenherz over Domaine, especially when playing with 4 persons.

The negotiations makes the game take a little bit longer, but it adds just the right amount of extra interaction, and you really have to think for what you shall use your money.

Since I only have Domaine, and Löwenherz is out of print, I have made a customized deck for playing Löwenherz on Domaine board:

Much of the images are taken from the Domaine game itself.

I have used ArtsCow for printing. Production instructions are available here:

(with Coupon Codes you can normally get it with some sort of discount)

The original rules works fine:

But I have made one adaption, to compensate for the difference in number of mines on the boards. Instead of receiving 1 point for each Mine. The following applies:

2 point for first Mine of each type

1 point for additional Mines

I have Domaine but never play Lowenherz before.

It is good to see someone create an adaption for Domaine to be Lowenherz. :)

Can you give me some more detail about why you prefer Lowenherz than Domaine?

Thank you in advnace :D

I've been wanting to hear about the Löwenherz variant used in Domaine and those cards looks just gorgeous.

Can you possibly share the files with us who don't do artscow?

I don't wan't to start a long discussion in this thread, since there are other threads discussing the benefits and likings of Löwenherz vs Domaine. But my short answer why I prefer Löwenherz is:

* Double guessing (have to imagine what action the other players will select, based on need and available money)
* More player interaction (quick negotiations with money for taking an action)

That is instead of focus on only optimize the board with the cards you get, it feels more like a political game, where you must also think of getting good value for your money.

Note that I also like playing Domaine very much, and like the variation.
