Known to some as the T-16 Skyhopper, IIRC. whistle

Not sure why anyone would want a "trainer" airspeeder as a possible ship for X-wing. You are in luck however as I do have the basic stats for the T-16s natural prey: the womp rat.

PS 10
Attack 0
Defense 4
Hull 1
Shields 0

Actions: Evade

Points: 5

Womp rats can move 1 in any direction per turn, no dial needed. All moves are green.

The "T-16" version would be the closest for basing possible stats:

Attack 1
Defense 2
Hull 2
Shields 0

Actions: Focus, Evade

The T-19 looks to be upgraded for space travel and probably has improved military upgrades:

Attack 2
Defense 2
Hull 3
Shields 0

Actions: Focus, Target Lock
2

I was thinking more like:

Attack: 2
Agility: 3
Hull: 2
Shields: 0

Actions: Focus, Evade

But, how to figure point cost[s]?

Also, someone to do the dial/card/tokens - my graphics ability is nil.

Thanks for the feedback!

It is supposed to be an upgrade for space combat. Used in the early days of the rebellion but now almost exclusively by pirates and system defence forces

Point costs mostly come down to trial and error, though the old article on AFM will get you close. (IIRC, 1 Point for Pilot Skill above 1, 8 points for Attack / Defence above 2, and 4 points for hull above 3 or shields above 0... but I'm doing that from memory, so there's probably a mistake there somewhere.) Then you have to tweak it, even more so now that we know the dial can impact the cost.

Speaking of dials, this will probably be useful:

Do you have the link to AFM [I am registered there / VK4501]...?

After looking into this a bit more, I am thinking the best this should be [for SPACE combat] is probably:

Attack: 1 [how to justify 2?]
Agility: 3 [perhaps 4 when atmospheric]
Hull: 2
Shields: 0

Thoughts?

Id keep Target Lock. It explains how one can hit Womp Rats while flying through a winding canyon. They are not much bigger than 2 meters. And we can assume an upgrade (the systems of which would likely end up in a hotrod civilian T-16)would be more effective

It may be worthwhile to note that the T-19 is not the same ship as a T-16...

Very true. When i designed it i used the pre-production painting from the 'Art of Attack of the clones' book of the ship that was supposed to have been in the Lars family garage. Which is similiar but different in several key ways aesthetically.
Considering the time difference between AOTC and ANH i went back a number and called it the T-15 Skyhopper which becomes the T-19 Starhopper as a rebel military upgrade while the slightly later civilian version we all know as death to womprats is designated the T-16 Skyhopper.
I am assuming that with Luke being the Lucas surrogate in the original novelization and basically a countryboy working on his vintage hotrodder the T-series can have the same Skyhopper name in the same way that there are multiple versions of the Chevy Corvette.

True, Matthew - and also worthy to note that, while less "learned in SW lore" than many, I err on the side of caution when it comes to copyright.

I feel the idea of introducing another thematic element into a simplistic mini's game is valid. We have another fine-looking model which can easily be worked in to the existing game.

With these stats:
Attack: 1 [2?]
Agility: 3
Hull: 2
Shields: 0
Probably max speed of 4, only K-turn is red, very nimble at speed 1/2.
Upgrades: none, maybe 1 or 2 for your 'name' pilots [1 for 5-7 pilot skill, perhaps 2 for 8+].
IMO, most designs thus far seem to be slightly OP, as each person submitting their design wants it to be 'cool', and have everyone want to buy them. shake

I am extrapolating to make a second-line fighter / trainer out of some canon material and extending it a bit. With the figure designs out there, I would be happy to have it as a 'Senator Shuttle' escort, which is bushwhacked by a couple TIE's who think there is an unescorted shuttle, and a vicious fight develops...
