Can air units hop on the train during the SRM to move forward? I don't see anything in the rules which say otherwise...

YES GREG,

they can and sometimes it is very useful as they can then move and attack in the same turn.

Range of Strategic Rail Movements

Dear Ema,

in my last game I was confronted with the following situation. It was the beginning of the Germans turn.

[ImageID=http://boardgamegeek.com/image/2314430/greenpark4000]

My question is:
Can the Germans use the SRM to move their units forward to Leningrad (outside the Soviets ZOC) althought the top of the German frontlinie is only 2 Hexes north of Riga and the area between the top of the German frontline and Leningrad is Soviet area?

In other words:
1. Can the Germans use a SRM throught the Soviet area?
2. Can the Germans use a SRM throught an area which lies far ahead of the German frontline?

Ciao, ciao my friend
