Darth Maul can die on turn 3.
The game is over, it just has an hour full of dice rolling to go.

Naboo can only draw Anakin cards and win on turn 3.
Annoying, especially if the TF just can't draw starfighters.

The TF 'Wins' on the battlefield when the game goes long.
Each player now draws at least one dead card per turn. Some turns can end up as “Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass, Pass”. George Lucas would not be impressed.

The Jedi achieve 'Lock Down'.
Jedi head upstairs, Palace guard cover every entry area in the lobby.
The game is over, why are we still playing?

Most traditional games end up in stalemate.
The good guys hide out on the top floor.
The bad guys sit on the battlefield.
A couple of droids trickle into the palace, get sliced or window ledge shot on a flip flop.
And everyone looks up occasionally.

Rarely something strange can happen.
The last Jedi dieing to Maul's dieing riposte is great!
Window ledging away from Maul to win is great!
Pity it just doesn't happen very often.

Damn, wish you hadn't brought me down like this, I just paid a lot for it and am playing for the first time this weekend.

Ignore him. ALL games are broken apparently to Magic Geek. Anakin can win on turn 3 and the Jedi can kill Darth Maul early. The opposite can also happen. You can also get dealt a Royal Flush in 5 card stud. Doesn't mean it's going to happen very often. It's a fun game.

Yeah, don't worry about it UH. The game is great and fetches a hefty price these days with good reason. I've played probably a half dozen times and I don't think any of those have been grossly unbalanced or had a deciding moment when the game was won/lost but we kept going for another 1-2 hours...

Your call, U-Head
You can play this game like songbird.

Or like me, and win on turn 3 when the force is strong.
I recognise a royal flush when dealt one.

Before I traded it, I played about eight games, and only one wasn't close until near the end. (I think Darth Maul died quickly in that one.) There's nothing more fun than running an injured Jedi through the palace, hoping they can do enough damage before they're killed...

The game is quite well balanced, although yes, theoretically someone could get very unlucky and have little hope with some horrible card and die rolling. Since there's so much die rolling, though, the probabilities tend to even out.

Enjoy the game--I wish I had mine back.

Agreed. I must admit that I've tried one of these scenarios to get the upper hand quickly but it has never worked out... the odds are against it working out.

Fun game. In fact, I think I'll play this weekend...
