How often have you built a...

1. Interceptor with 2 weapons mounted?

2. Cruiser with 3 weapons mounted?

3. Dreadnought with 5 weapons mounted?

4. Starbase with 4+ weapons mounted?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like kamikaze ships.
I've seen them in most games I played.

What I'm trying to do is discover what the EXTREME ship configurations are and how common they occur in case someone wants to use them in the combat runner.

So kamikaze with mentioned amount of Missiles is very probable.

Very common in general because initiative plays such a big part in Eclipse.

If you add a +3 computer you just need energy and a drive and then it is just a strategy decision between armor, shields, more computers and weapons.

I guess the follow up to this is, how many Interceptors specifically you've seen in a single combat with this configuration?

For example, if it's 8 Interceptors x 4 dice (2 dice per PM weapon), then that's 32 dice to be rolled at once. YIKES!

I've also played in a game with the flying brick. It was a dread with 1 ion cannon, all double hulls, and the drive. It was pretty awesome, I can't remember how many hit points it had.

4 cruisers with 3 missiles each = 4*3*2 = 24 dice
More than once

So... 8 (Int) x 6 dice (2 dice x 3 spots) = 48 dice?

If this is the amount of dice that is within the scope of possibility, I might have to avoid supporting configurations like this.

What happens is that the dice icons become so small that they're difficult to touch on a tablet. In order to facilitate faster play, making the icons large enough to touch quickly is ideal. Smaller icons also make it harder to see what the die result is.

This is basically the same issue that prevents me from supporting Alliances. The number of ships to display makes the usability an issue.

I had to use a little more vertical space, but I think I got it. The image below shows 48 dice rolls.

Well I've won a couple of games using Interceptors that didn't mount any weapons at all.

I guess this is as extreme as it gets

I've succesfully used the "Roadrunner" Interceptor on some occasions (I did have the Nanobomb tech) just mount three good drives and breach the enemy's defensive perimeter to do maximum damage to his systems. Especially deadly if you have the Wormhole Generator technology.
