To move from vent to vent, do the two tiles just need to have the vents on the tiles, or do the tiles also need to be connected by the gray coloring along the sides of the tiles?

Some tiles have that gray on some sides, and other sides are just black. I'm not sure if that gray is supposed to be represent air ducts or whatever, and you have to be able to trace along that gray all the way from start to end on a vent move.

There needs to be a contiguous run of gray ducting between them, yeah.

thanks... for Alien Zones then, where clones spawn on vent tiles, for that purpose does the tile just have to have a vent? The gray ducting doesn't have to trace back to somewhere?

Those shifty clones don't play by the same rules.

The clone is activated. There is vent connection between clone and player with the highest fear (even it is many tiles far). Has clone to use vent to move to the tiles with player with highest fear?

Actually how to count distance for clones to closest target? By tiles or by possible vents?

Include vent movement when calculating the shortest path. And don't forget that any player standing in a room with a vent entrance is adjacent to every other room with a connected vent entrance as far as clones are concerned (which means their effective fear level is +1 when determining which character the clone will target).

(See pg. 15 of the rulebook.)
