There are a few guys coming down to my neck of the woods(the middle of nowhere)for the weekend. I have played games(such as LoWD, TtR, The Resistance, Quarriors, and Coup)with a couple of them but nothing heavy. So what I am looking for is a "lighter" game that won't have a big playtime(under 90 minutes) or learning curve that is as mean as possible.devil Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Others will suggest games like this:

King of Tokyo - Yahtzee with an attack element.
Survive: Escape from Atlantis! - It's not that mean because the dice and action points control the damage you can do.

But if you want really mean--like the kind of mean that tosses friendships out the window--, go with something like this:

Lifeboats

or this:

Intrigue

Have mean fun!

Two by Two, when played with the advanced rules, can be quite mean.

My group of friends tend to make even the dullest games quite mean. But of those I own that really bring out the worst in us (and are short/light):

Survive: Escape from Atlantis!
Be it destroying the early leader or crushing someone out of pure spite, it doesn't take much to create some amazing grudges.

BANG!
My first game, I died before having a turn. Then second game, I was in Jail for the first two rounds, and died before the third.

Survive: Escape from Atlantis! +1
This game epitomizes "light" and 'mean." A worthy addition to your collection.

Lifeboat +1
A great negotiation game that doesn't get enough notoriety. A hit every time I teach it. Not recommended for groups who don't like politicking with other players.

King of Tokyo -1
This is a GREAT game, but it isn't a mean game. You rarely have an opportunity to selectively hurt someone. And while you can hurt other players, it's not in a mean fashion.

Lifeboats
While I've never actually played it, this game is generally considered the meanest game around.

City of Horror
This not yet mentioned game that I suggest. It's a Zombie themed game about leaving your friends to die so that you may live. This game is all about negotiating and politicking and throwing people under the bus. This should be one of your top considerations.

Junta: Viva el Presidente!
A game about rich fat cats backstabbing each other to get richer and fatter. This one can be a lot of fun with the right crowd.

Card of the Dead
If you want REALLY light (and fast), this game will fit the bill. It's a japanese, minimalist (a la Love Letter) take on a zombie game. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite filler games.

Infinite City is very simple to learn and quite mean; it's all about sabotaging for the other players, really.

If you really want mean, I'd also go with Lifeboats.
And the "friendship out of the window" part really is no joke here.

The game is all about telling your friend you save him, and once he turns around stabbing a poisoned dagger in his head. All the while getting the teeth of your smile kicked in by another friend, who is choked by a fourth one currently on fire, because his girlfriend used some gasoline and matches on him...

The mean thing is that it is about negotiation, followed by pure and simple majority voting (where negotiations go out the window, of course).

Zombies!!!

Say what you want, but this game is built around being an asshole. Not the deepest game around, but i think it is fun just as long as you have other jerk players to try to screw over. It becomes a marathon of mean.

Marathon is right - I've had games go for 3 hours when everyone is playing mean.
