Hello guys,
I'm Lien from France , and wanted to share my project , a 3D Zombicide ( season 1 ) table board
I finished now 13 boards .. was thinking about this project for a year and finally started last june , having collected quite a lot of resin scenery ( Armorcast , pardulon models , decor-miniature.fr .... )
I took my time for this project , spent hours , but the goal is to make great boards with lots of details similar to the 2D boards ; the only limit is the space to leave to put several zombies in rooms... it will be difficult when survivors are surrounded by 10 or more zombies ...

Here is my 1st board ( 7B )

apartements boards ( 2B 2C 2D 2E )

supermarkets boards ( 5C 5D 5E 5F )

Pimp's cars !

Police cars

Little problem , i need place to store the boards , and it will be worse with more boards to come ...!! Wife will be pleased !!

Here is a tutorial i made for the 2 restaurants boards 6C and 6B

I used extruded polystirene 20 mm and depron 3 mm

Texture roads and floor , creatings cracks , using floor stone stick...

Create sewer by molding it from a miniature base using Instant Mold + green stuff

paint now , using an airbrush

do not forget the crosswalks

Make roads and floor dirty , using small newspapers print , pigments , blood effects with tamya X 27 ...

Let's do buildings , using 5 mm cardbox

first check ...

texture walls , make them dirty , use balsa wood for windows

Paint them all...

Make walls dirty , create retain banner with depron , use decals on walls...

Stick buildings and boards , finishing details ...

Create inside furniture , using armchairs from Antenociti workshop , bottle and tiolets from black cat bases ...

enjoy !

Here is a shorter step by step for 3B and 3C boards
inside furniture are from pardulon models

Zombicide season 1 : boardgame finished !

Here are the last 4 boards ( 4 B 4 D 4 E 4 C )
Inside scenery is quite poor , but i got no more interesting scenery to put inside and i have to leave enough space for miniatures !

DOORS
I used bits , creating a destroyed / undestroyed side ; i only stand them against the walls ; it is maybe less realistic , but it's easier !

The full boardgame !!

no more space on the table !

This is where a clever powerful producer should chime in and offer a large scale production plan... Joking, it would be crazily expensive... But would be so gorgeous.

What is more, make it grow. Do release following versions with new town zones and characters ... Heh, it could be a success! That or might mean simply you buying the house next door if your hobby continues !

It's wonderful.

One question.. Did you also modeled those human and zombie miniatures or purchased them somewhere (please, excuse my ignorance)? If so, they do look quite well from the distance. If you did them... I guess it was like you made it all, manually, not modeling in 3D, then sending to shapeways or i-materialise?

EDIT: Idea for storing... Shelves? that way you could store several joined floors from the floor to the roof (ie, like 7 or 8 shelves), and not fill more area in your house... (happier wife). I just want you not to stop making the city grow, hehe...

Thanks all for you comment ,
it gives me some great motivation to finish the 4 last boards !

@OneManCrafts : i think i will try to convert in 3D the titles from Toxic city Mall , expansion for Zombicide , when i will receive it ! and all the miniatures are coming from the original game , Zombicide , only a few of them are from hasslefree miniatures, i use them as proxy for extra miniature i didn't get during the Zombicide season 1 kickstarter

Shelves ? yes .. probably ! i hope having my own room of gaming, painting, modeling....one day !!!

Impressive as all hell! Given the 3D house models I'd be tempted to make the buildings different floors all usable in the game. I can hardly believe that you got all this done, it's insanely cool.
