Just wondering if anyone has had company over, and somehow you invite them to look at one of your wargames you have laid out, and the first thing the guest does is pick up one of your game counters and says,"What are these?"

Nope. Only cleared personnel are allowed near a wargame that's already set up.

Did you resist the urge to smack his/her hand and frantically hunt for where the counter belongs?

That seems like a perfectly reasonable response to me.

My reaction would 100% depend on her looks. And her character, of course.

I find "Would you enjoy coming to my home to see my wargames?" to be a great pick-up line.

Once or twice, I had to point out there are important stuff on the plexi-covered map right before they put their bags on it; they don't seem to see them at all.

I haven't experienced this, as I have nowhere to leave a wargame (yet). But as a sword teacher, I now. People tend to watch with their fingers.
yuk

(besides the cultural "that's not done"thing, for an iron sword when someone touches the blade means you'll have to clean your blade within hours. Or face a rust stain. It's amazingly quick, I've been told by friends who had it happen.)
