Here are the games I love:

Bohnanza
I'm the Boss!
Ca$h 'n Gun$
Settlers of Catan
Cosmic Encounter
Skull & Roses
The Resistance
Alcatraz: The Scapegoat
----------
(also loved but different)
Pandemic
Race for the Galaxy
Infiltration
GIPF series
2-player Kosmos series
Incredibly awesome tile-laying game (not yet known)

Most of the games above have pretty heavy player interaction, and stare each other in the eyes & yell your heart out type moments. That's what I'm after. Please give me that.

I'm usually back in the states just one month out of the year, and I'll be at BGG.CON next week. Given the above, are there any games I should look out for/buy immediately, new or old? Thanks in advance.

Since you like lighter card games, I think you should check out Hanabi and Love Letter. I'm not a fan but most people seem to love them. They are very interactive. And cheap!

For an awesome tile-laying game, you may want to consider Keyflower. I watched a few video reviews, and there seems to be good player interaction with the auction bidding for available tiles as well as the option to use the worker placement of one's meeples on each other's set of tiles.

Some older games with player interaction that you may like are Battle Line and PiƱata (formerly Balloon Cup.)

Intrigue for a shorter game.
Genoa for a longer one.

Both are very much best with 5 players.

For 2-4 players: Innovation.

You do have Cosmic Incursion already, right? (No? Well, get it now.)

For 3-4 (and perhaps 2 and 5): Core Worlds.
