Nowadays we are playing campaign game on Vassal by PBEM.
We find some terrain questions on map and want to get a confirmation.
Is a hex with partial clear and partial sea count as clear?
Like 3101 and 2003

In addition, we want to confirm what Strait is.
I know this is indeed a strait.

But can units move from 5508 to 5409?

Is the green line on the image a symbol of Strait?
If the green line means a strait, what about 1903?

Finally, I want to confirm some terrains around Shanghai. They confuse me.

(1) Does 1705 count as clear? If yes, what is the hexside between 1705 and Shanghai? Minor river or strait?
(2) What are coastal hexes that Japanese can sea transport or amphibious landing on this image? Are they 1609, 1608, 1607, 1606, 1705, Shanghai and 1805?
(3) What are the hexsides between 1707 and 1807/1808? Minor river or sea?
(4) What are the hexsides between 1706 and 1807/Shanghai?
(5) what is the hexside between Shanghai and 1805?

>>Yes

can units move from 5508 to 5409?

>>Yes

Is the green line on the image a symbol of Strait?
If the green line means a strait, what about 1903?

>>The green line / patch means that units on an adjacent ground hex separated by water can move across as a strait.

1) Does 1705 count as clear? If yes, what is the hexside between 1705 and Shanghai? Minor river or strait?

>>Yes. Hexside is Strait.

(2) What are coastal hexes that Japanese can sea transport or amphibious landing on this image? Are they 1609, 1608, 1607, 1606, 1705, Shanghai and 1805?

>>Yes. Bear in mind Japan can use river transport too.

(3) What are the hexsides between 1707 and 1807/1808? Minor river or sea?

Sea. The river hexside begins at hexside 1708/1808. So everything outside of that is sea. My original map uses a darker blue color for sea to separate it from minor river.

(4) What are the hexsides between 1706 and 1807/Shanghai?

Sea. Reason as above.

(5) what is the hexside between Shanghai and 1805?

Minor River.
