I'll give you guys a laugh with my boot camp photo, and give a shout out to my dad who served in Viet Nam. Which make 7 generations of my male line to serve in some war. Gulf War(Me), Vietnam(John Wayne Wolfe-Chapel "Dad"), WWII(John Wolfe Pacific Theater) WWII(John Chapel "Dads Adopted dad" Battle of the Bulge) , (Henry C. Wolfe)WWI, (Jonn D. Wolfe)Civil War(*Union), (John Wolfe)War of 1812, and the (John Wolfe)Revolutionary war(*Patriot).

I do hope that chain stops at me.

Can't find any other pics of me online other than this one. It's showing my basic training locker to my family.

This is a mural I'd walk past occasionally while deployed to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. I always found it inspiring - so I'll post it here in tribute to my fellow servicemen and women still standing watches out there in the scary places of the world.

(OK, to be fair, I walked past it on the way to the laundry tent from my small-but-cozy room in a well protected installation; I realize there are many of you out there who have FAR worse conditions to put up with!)

Anyway, my time is nearly done; I'll retire with 20 in April next year, but it's been an honor to have served and I wish the best to those still in, and a hearty thanks to those who have gone before me!

who was involved with the Marines in the Gulf War, and my father, who was in WWII.

I can't spot him, but my dad used to be able to pick himself out in the picture (and therefore, the stamp).

No pics, but I served 8 years as a Security Specialist in the US Air Force. And a shout out to my Dad, who served 4 years as an Air Force Air Traffic Controller.

Decorated marksman. My Dad.

Enlisted under age, lying to get in, Now 83? About that.

He was going to be in comms, but the radio pack was too heavy since he's a little guy.

Managed the unit baseball team. Turned down being in the drumline because he wanted to go fight.

Honorably Discharged due to family hardship of my grandfather developing advanced Parkinson's.

We have lunch every Tuesday.
