I'm looking for dice-heavy games that are playable solo. By this I mean games where the dice play a large role, as opposed to games that use them for randomizing other things. Castle Dice is a pretty good example because the dice are a core mechanic.

I've been curious about Skyline and Dungeon Roll but haven't had a chance to try either. I used to play a lot of Yahtzee solo and so am over that. I also really enjoy Qwixx but I haven't found a good way to play that solo.

Anyway, I'm just hoping someone out there likes solo dice games too and has some good recs

edit: Forgot to mention I have, but don't really love, the Catan dice game.

Dungeon Roll is good becuase of the different characters and abilities.

The only one I can think of that I like better for solo dice is: Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age.

Both are good, but I like Roll Through the Ages just a little bit better. Both are on the cheap side, so you could easily do both.

Check out Utopia Engine. It is PnP but no crafting cards or cutting, it only requires dice and a pencil.

+1 Roll Through the Ages: The Bronze Age. I like it better as a competitive game with more players, but it works just fine as a solo game too.

I just ordered In Magnificent Style which is a solo recreation of picketts charge. It is described as a push your luck type dice game.

This was what I thought of. It is only a solo game, but uses 2d6 and a pencil. Pretty good luck/number management game. While the theme can feel a bit tacked on, it works quite well for the few times I've tried it.

Elder sign and D Day Dice are other good recommendations up here. There are a couple of bigger games that you could play too, but once you add a bunch of other components they are less dice games and more games with dice.

The other thing I forgot to mention is that I have very limited space, so while I enjoy lots of different games solo, the smaller they are the more likely I am to play them

Some quick PnP dice games that I have enjoyed are Reiner Knizia's Decathlon (which was mentioned before) and Oh My Lair!. Both are fun and take up very little space.
