The cards shown in the Mar. 4, 2008 TtA v. 2 card file don't match the ones that appear on BGO. Does BGO run its own variant? Are there differences in cards from the box editions of v.2 and v.3? If so, is there a card file with text for v.3?

BGO invented some cards.
Later Vlaada decided that some changes were good and in some countries they have this change in the base game.
But it's only in some countries.
If you want to know what are the other cards in different editions just have a look:

BGO invented Leaders and Wonders for the "2.0" version, available only online. Then there were Polish, Czech, and Spanish editions published with new alternate Leaders and Wonders (and for the Spanish set, also new Events, Aggressions, Tactics, and Action cards), which you can also play with on BGO. Also, some of the Leaders changed between the 1st and 2nd printed edition (and then again in later editions). The BGO Standard deck uses the original Leaders (Elvis instead of "Rock & Roll Icon" or Charlie Chaplin, Bill Gates instead of Nicola Tesla, and Sid Meier instead of "Game Designer" or Alex Randolph).

Just to be clear, the only card changes between various standard english editions are some NAME changes for a few leaders. The leader functionality is the same (cosmetic change only). Oh yes, and there are a few misprints and fixes for them in some editions. (The look and feel of the cards is also slightly different between editions).

Only a few (non-english) region/language-specific editions have different bonus leader/wonder etc. cards to use on top of (or usually in place of) some of the base/standard cards. There are a lot of variant card ideas put forward by various BGG users for self printing - you can find them in the forums and/or in the files section.

The official (and some BGO-specific) bonus card versions are available to play with in the Boardgaming-online site, but I'm not aware of anywhere that you can find them as a purchasable item.

Hi geek buddies,

Well, the Spanish ed. of this game include new versions -with revised rules- of 2 leaders and one wonder.

LEADERS:
-Hammurabi: +1 civil action. Each of your army units costs 1 extra resource. (Previous version: he reduced -1 military action)
-J S Bach: Discover Theatre techs (in Spanish called art, in English I don't know) costs -2 science. Build/upgrade theatres costs -2 resources. Each Theatre produces +1 culture point. (Previous version: discounts on science/building was just -1)

WONDER:
-Kremlin: Same abilities, but just one angry face.
