November 22, 2013 – Japanime Games, along with their partner, Ankama Games, is pleased to announce the next Expansion for Krosmaster: Arena – Multiman!

Six unique figures will be added, along with a change in gameplay. The Multiman Expansion will allow you to have three of the same Multiman on your team. Moreover, the more Multimen on your team, the more powerful they are!

The Multiman Expansion Pack will be available one month before release on Japanime Game’s Kickstarter for the game extension Frigost. The Expansion pack will not only be added to the $333 and $699 pledge levels, but it will also be available as an add-on to all backers, with a limit of 3 available per account.

The expected public release date for this Expansion will be in April of 2014. Once Multiman has been released to the general public, the MSRP of this Expansion will be $45.00.

The Frigost kickstarter has been live since November 15th, and has boasted funding within the first 12 minutes of the campaign launch. As of November 22nd, it has reached over $265,000 dollars, and will end on December 13th, 2013.

Frigost Teaser:

Welcome to Frigost. Home of the cold-hearted Count Harebourg and the site of the first Extension for Krosmaster: Arena. The Demons of the Hours and Minutes have selected this desolate region as your next battleground and they are particularly excited for the new dangers awaiting you. Give them a good show, but be sure to keep your head!

Stuck in an endless winter, Frigost has seen its hero turned into a pariah. Today, Gallifree Yan de Harebourg is the most wanted person on the continent, because it's his fault things are as cold as they are! And in the arena, Count Harebourg's fighting style will send shivers down your spine...

New arenas, new backgrounds, new demonic rewards, new mob tokens, frozen markers... This extension will make you shiver with delight!

What is Krosmaster: Arena?

Krosmaster: Arena is a Player vs Player-oriented board game that offers the craftiest tacticians among you the chance to challenge other players in heated battle. All players build their team using a pre-determined method, either a point system, draft, or at random. Utilize your team's various talents and abilities to create a powerful fighting force. Every figure has a point value attached to it to help balance things out. Only those who are able to create a strong, yet versatile, strategy will prevail!

Wow... what a big anouncement...

Everyone knew since months that the Multimen are coming. Stat cards are online since at least a week already (in french), probably longer. For example here: http://double-critical.blogspot.de/2013/11/multiman-karten-s...

I think this is a big announcement...

Even though we have known about the Multiman expansion for a long time... I'm actually thinking to back the KS now, even though I'm living in Europe and will be forced to pay for shipping and customs.

If you pledge at $75, and add $45 for the Multimen Add-on, I think you will be getting 13 figures, as well as a cool expansion and some other goodies.
Add $40 for shipping (and who knows for customs). That's 115 (+) Euros. Not at all a bad deal in my opinion. I'd say well played, Japanime/Ankama.

I know I will eventually want all the stuff anyway.

I just pointed out, that it was no big surprise, that the Multimen would be part of the KS.

Apart from this, I think it is a bit weird that they charge the MSRP of 45$ for the Multimen. Plus 40$ shipping plus an unknown amount of customs makes this not very attractive to me right now.

Ankama is currently offering the Multimen for 35€: http://www.ankama-shop.com/fr/199-jeux/5429-pack-krosmaster-...
The duel pack is at 15€: http://www.ankama-shop.com/fr/199-jeux/5361-pack-duel-krosma...
Ludikbazar is selling Frigost + the Count Frigost Promo for 32€: http://www.ludikbazar.com/product_info.php?products_id=90009

Considering, that most of the new Promos will be sold directly by Ankama in about 1 year like the Brotherhood of the Tofu will be sold at the beginning of 2014, the price of what you have listed would roughly be 120€. Obviously you would have to wait for another year to get the promos...

However, I hope that Japanime Games still has another "big announcement" up its sleeves, because I am still in the 333 pledge and hoping that it will be worth its money... I really dig the big Yeti figure!!
