I'd be willing to run a game of Noble Treachery through Play by Forum. I would moderate the game (geekmail you your cards) and help the game move along. I just need 4-6 people interested in trying this game out.

Update:

Here's what I'm thinking for rules for the PbF.
1 - Please try to take at least 1 move per day. That way we can get through one round per day. The game lasts up to 10-12 rounds max.
2 - I'll handle any randomness with the cards. I have a list of the cards in an excel file. I will randomize that and 'deal' them through geekmail. I will know everyone's cards so if there is a card played that requires you to view/play a random card I will play it on your behalf.
3 - Dice rolls will be made in the forum. You can "Add a roll" to your post. If multiple dice are rolled, the order will always be alphabetical (Black, Blue, Green, Red, Yellow).
4 - I will try to use colored text to keep things easy to see for everyone. (If everyone else could that would help, see below for help on that)
5 - I'll also post the round results and score summary at the end of each round.
6 - Keep the number of posts to the card plays. You can add comments to your play (or go back and edit a post to add comments) but keep the number of posts to a minimum so it's easy to follow.

Groovy. Just need one more

Just testing things...

Here are the colors we'll use:
Black = K
Blue = B
Green = G
Red = R
Yellow = Y

To color your text "Quote" this post and you'll see how I made these colors. Just replace the "Black = K" with your text.

Ok, we've got four players. I also got the latest ten cards from Jay. I'll get the cards dealt to everyone tonight and we'll get started.

I'll roll a die to see who goes first.

Here are the tokens in the bank:

Bank
(3)(8)(13)
(1)(10)(11)
(2)(9)(12)
(4)(7)(14)
(5)(6)(15)

I'll roll for initial tokens as well. Remember, die rolls will also be in color order Black/Blue/Green/Red/Yellow (it's alphabetical so it'll be easy to remember)

The roll results
Chris
(3) (15)

Tom
(5) (6)

John
(9) (4)

Alexandre
(8) (2)

Bank
(13)
(1) (10) (11)
(12)
(7) (14)

This puts Tom in last place since it's 1) Most different color of tokens, 2) # of tokens 3) Value of tokens for determining winner/loser. Tom has 1 color of tokens. This means he'll roll the dice first. Tom go ahead and roll when ready.

Two questions here:

1.) In a 4 player game, shouldn't each player only have ONE token to start with?

2.) How exactly did you determine the initial tokens out of the dice rolls? Isn't it supposed to be via card draws? (Since it's only about colors at this point, you can simulate the card draw using a custom die like '1customw{"9:K";"9:B";"9:G";"9:R";"9:Y"}'. For each consecutive roll just reduce the number for the drawn color.)

Sorry, John. I've been playing with the 'final' rules so long I forgot about the changes.

There are two set-up changes:
1 - Instead of dealing out cards and then reshuffling the deck, it was changed to roll the dice with the highest die color being the token you get. If dice are tied you take the lower value token.
2 - All games have the players start with 2 tokens. This simplifies things slightly instead of the 4 player game being the only one with 1 token. Play-testing showed it didn't make a difference overall.

There is also one important change to the bet as well:
A maximum of 3 tokens can be bet. Most of the times only 1-2 are bet anyway since people are reluctant to risk their tokens.

During my playtest we had a couple times where 4+ were bet (once by me) as an attempt to protect tokens from being stolen when going for the win.

This is did use to happen, I find that more experienced players bet less. In fact, everyone passing usually occurs once a game. This also helped balance out the run away leader affect that came up every so often.

I have not been able to get a hold of Alex. Until the, if it's OK with everyone, I'll play his hand.

Pass.

Over to Tom to try to outbid John's 9.

(I could look up what cards you guys have, but I won't. I don't remember who has what anyway and being surprised is more fun anyway.)

You need to bid or pass prior to playing card. Also, if you win the bidding you must decide if the round is War/Diplomacy and if you want to play first/last.
