Hi from Germany,

playing DotZ instantly places the player right "inside" the story developing in front of her/him.

Enjoy.

The first day of the defense of Farmingdale had passed.

The actual game board.

The cards played so far.

The "rock" of Beauxville.

A killing field (the 2nd edition Chaos markers now indicate eliminated Zeds units).

Sheriff Hunt at the outer defense perimeter.

A brave chap at Town Center.

Audrey J. Clarke ready for the next battle.

The story will continue.

Cheers
U.L.H.

I don't appear to have that Audrey Clarke token in my game!

Nice session report, well-presented. Some great stories develop in this game.

Cool. How are you calculating how much time passes between events? Is it in the rules, or just your own making?

Hi,

thanks for the replies.

Perfectly right, A.J.Clarke is not part of the genuine 2nd edition. She builds the center part of my customization efforts.

The "timing" is also self-made. I wanted to include Dawn-Day-Sunset-Night in the game system. Fighting at night is different from day combat, etc. Now add the four seasons and you have a whole set of variety incorporated into game play.
The smallest time unit is "30 minutes". For example, moving up to 4 spaces consumes 30 minutes. Foraging takes one hour, and so on. This way, the clock starts ticking. And the defenders should be aware especially of the Dawn and the Sunset periods as some Event cards have to be executed twice during those parts of the day.

Here is the second part of the session report.

Here is a view on the final game board situation.

The final card.

The discard pile.

The game result.

I hope all this provided some entertainment and reflected the countless options DotZ provides when played.

Cheers
U.L.H.
