Detailed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U-1206, the U-1206 sunk when a toilet was improperly operated, eventually leading to its destruction. I'm glad this one isn't on the Random Events Chart.

Actually reddit. Uboat.net says the Kapitan started the problem and a specialist compounded it. And am I to believe the History Channel actually had something about History on it?

Now that's funny! This little tidbit was in an episode of Pawn Stars that was on the other day. A guy showed up to sell a small engraved plate that was made from the remnants of U-1206.

"U-1206 was one of the late war boats fitted with new deepwater high-pressure toilets which allowed them to be used while running at depth. Flushing these facilities was extremely complicated and special technicians were trained to operate them."

Worst. Job. Ever.

I was going to say, "What a way to go!" but I thought it was too low brow. Hey, wait a minute...

But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you… And I will beat you.

Seeing as the Executive Officer was responsible for firing the torpedoes, that should actually be

"Number One, Fire Tube Number Two"

No wonder the boat sank... shake
