So my wife asked me to come up with a list of presents she and the kids can have to buy me presents. I couldn't really come up with anything that I wanted.

So, this is where you all come into the picture. I need you all to come up with some presents that I would like. Here are a few things that I like:

1. Shiny things
2. Electronic things
3. Other things that I can't really think of

I've already given them a list of a few games, but they want some other things on the list.

So, tell me what I should wish for.

Googling "shiny electronic thing gifts" gave me this Monster High doll (specifically Spectra Vondergeist)

GPS Watch. They're awesome for hiking. (Not to mentioning potentially life saving--it tracks your path and can guide you in reverse in case you lose the trail.)

I have a Garmin Fenix, but I hear Suunto makes some good ones too.

Don't be irrational. Just preheat the oven to 147.15e.

You'd also like a standing desk, for your health and all!

You'd also like a rechargeable battery pack for all your gadgets. Like this sort of thing: http://www.amazon.com/HyperJuice-External-Battery-Charger-Ex...

You also want a Hammock for the backyard!

Wouldn't you love a new watch? Of course you would!

Lastly, you'd love a Trebuchet!

How about a Chromecast for broadcasting stuff directly to an HDMI enabled TV? I picked one up and it's great for watching Netflix or Youtube and other stuff. Pretty cheap too.

I seem to find all sorts of neato gadgets which look interesting to me in the DIY forum, if your interests run that way.

These are all really cool ideas. Keep them coming.

I've added the following to my list:

Trebuchet
Chromecast
Monster High doll for my office

I can't do a new pet. My dog, who is 13 years old, wouldn't like it. But, we did rescue him and our next one will also be rescued.

I've thought of a Raspberry Pi, but don't know what I would do with it. A raspberry pie would be AWESOME!

GPS watch would be cool, but I have a few GPS items already. One being my handheld ham radio that broadcasts out my position and can be viewed on a web page.

What about one of those USB Nerf Rocket Launchers for the desk? Just so everyone know that you are the man.
