I'm curious as to any games (board or otherwise) that can be used to build/encourage teamwork among co-workers.

The mix of people is great, ranging from young pups to ancients. Some of the people are smart, some are rocks. So it has to be accessible to all.

Not looking for specifically sit down board games, activities that are fun (games/puzzles) will work just fine. Short duration. Little to no space, set up, etc.

Thoughts?

They have a ton of publications for team building games used for business and in education settings. They also have retreats, workshops, and train people to implement. The games are fun and interactive, and part of the process is reflection and communication.

I went on a retreat there with a team of people. We played a lot of interactive games and processed a lot with debriefing. There were a lot of laughs, a good sign the team building was working.

Two Rooms and a Boom?

A 15 minute game that holds up to 30 players, who work together to deduce the hidden roles among themselves.

There is no tabletop space required, but you will need a venue with 2 separate rooms.

A print and play version is available if you wish to try it.

I had a similar question a month or two back in this very forum. The most promising suggestion was Space Cadets: Dice Duel

Also La Boca may be perfect. 3-6 players (although you could easily house rule it for more.) People are paired up randomly and have to build the shape pictured on a card against the clock. The twist is they can each only see one half of the shape so need to communicate to build it correctly. You get more points for doing so quickly etc. Everyone is paired with every other person twice (or you could change it to once for a big group) - you'll find the person that wins generally has very good communication skills and can work well with lots of different people.
