I Photoshopped a decent Trek themed Fishermen of Catan Expansion. It looks good and works really well and I've kept it very thematic (Once I'd laminated the tiles/tokens I impressed myself lol). I want to upload and share it on this site but I have used 3 images from a Google image search and manipulated them slightly. Can I post my work here for others to download.
The images I have used are...

I see the three Pics... but how is it your using them? I am all for Fan Expansions (just discovered the joy with Dominion), and really enjoy Catan.

I have used them to re-theme Fishermen of Catan using Ferengi ships on the edges of the board which earn you Latinum tokens when their production roll is made. The tokens have either 1,2 and 3 on them. The Boot's replaced by a tribble token which is passed round just like the boot - I thought this would be very thematic. There's no lake as I have heard not-so-good reports of how it plays. If I where to have a lake alternative I'd use DS9
I want to post it here but when I go to do this there's loads of legal stuff about owning the rights to what you are posting. I have manipulated the images but they are, for the most part, in tact.

here are the finished and print ready images. I can say that this home made re themed expansion adds quite a lot to the game. It really makes the edges of the board desirable.

Thanks for posting the final product! I really like the look of it. Haven't printed it out yet, but I will get to that soon, I hope.

I suppose that I'm slightly bothered with the original series characters trading with the Ferengi, but I can't think of a good alternative... this works, is thematic enough, and is very well designed.

Thanks for sharing!

I know what you mean about the Ferengis trading with ToS crew, part of me feels the same, but the way I rationalize it is that the Ferengi must've existed back then and who's to say they didn't trade with the Feds? They might have been seen as just another alien race out of the hundreds they encountered.

Thanks for your feedback. Try laminating the pieces, they'll look great.

Love the idea and the prints. One problem, where are the trade in cost cards? Front and back, help! Also, you need to put dots under the numbers aside from just 9 & 6. Remember this tells players the frequincy these. Umbers come up. Even though we know how to play a rule sheet/story would be good.
Thanks,
pirateer

Follow the below link for the Latinum exchange rate cards - these should be print ready.

Follow the rules for Fishermen of Catan - the rules for this can easily be found on the net. All you need to do is swap a few names over (eg. fish = latinum and boot = tribbles)

star trek Catan has number tokens which depict how likely a number will be rolled, these can easily be referred to when identifying the frequency of the Latinum rolls. Because of this, the dots simply indicate the orientation of the 6 and the 9.

May work on a rules sheet and story to go with it but for now, let's just imagine that we're seeing the first branching out of Ferengi commerce and trading with the hoo-mans.
