So you can't do anthing fancy in a Mission skill check, right? No character abilities, skill check abilities, etc. How does it compare to Super Crisis checks?

Super Crises only limit character abilities.

A Mission is basically "not a skill check", and definitely "not a crisis",except with identical mechanics.
Character abilities do not work, nor do Skill Check abilities, nor the Reckless mechanic, etc etc.

The only time a Mission counts as a skill check is when there is a limitation on what you can contribute, like Doral's and Cally's disadvantages.

If we want to add to this, also include skill checks from the Brig, and Gaeta's weakness.

supercrisis skill checks you can manipulate with skill card text abilities (eg change of plans, IC, scientific research, establish network, declare emergency, etc)

mission skill checks every skill card is basically a blank colour and number and you can't play skill card text abilities onto the chekc (eg declare emergency, ic, scientific research, etc) also NO 'skill check' abilities trigger

Plus the fact that revealed Cylons can only contribute 1 card, and infiltrators only 2.

Simon's a bit tricky here; he can contribute only 1 skill card (2 if infiltrating), but his drawback (Logic-Bound) does not apply.

Missions and Super Crises are intended to be card sinks.

Missions just go a step further.
