In his New Rules for Classic Games collection, Wayne Schmittberger described a game much like this that he created to play in his yard. Guess he should have thought to patent it and made a jillion dollars.

On a related note, I just invented Base Golf (patent pending). You play with a bat and ball.

I also just invented Tennis Golf (patent pending).

I'm gonna make millions!

I just invented pool golf. Where you lie down on the grass and use a cue to shoot the ball.
